The Victoria Sky Ride Gondola is a transportation proposal to address the well-known and publicized problems of transporting cruise ship passengers from the Ogden Point cruise ship docks to the downtown Victoria Inner Harbour, some 1.5 km distance. The Sky Ride Gondola will provide high capacity, fast, quiet and convenient passenger transportation.  This solution will minimize greenhouse gas emissions from buses and taxis as well as congestion and noise pollution within the James Bay neighbourhood of Victoria. The Sky Ride could remove approximately 13,000 shuttle bus trips from the local roads in James Bay and will reduce traffic congestion during the 5 month cruise ship season, May through September each year.
